Hi! I’m so glad you’re here! It means you are seeking answers to your health questions and I’m honored to help you on your quest.
I have been in your shoes…for more than 20 years I suffered through what I thought was a normal part of aging. Even my doctor told me the digestive issues, fatigue, difficulty losing weight, brain fog, joint pain, and headaches were a result of just getting older. And I was told this at the ripe old age of 42! I was offered anti-depressants for my fatigue and brain fog, and medication to take after every meal to help with immobilizing cramps that occurred fairly regularly. Thankfully, I listened to my gut (pun intended!), and stumbled my way onto a Paleo diet. I found relief almost immediately once gluten and dairy were removed from my diet. I felt better and had a lot of energy for the first time in years! Most importantly, I was no longer experiencing joint and intestinal pain.
In 2017 I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis after a terrible flare up of symptoms due mainly to stress. After finding relief following the Autoimmune Paleo (AIP) diet, I have been able to successfully manage my symptoms and am more aware of what my body needs to feel good and thrive.
I have learned a lot along my health journey and decided to become a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner so I could use my experience and knowledge to help other people. Nutritional therapy focuses on addressing the root causes of symptoms by eating nutrient dense foods and making positive lifestyle changes (think movement, stress reduction, and sleep), rather than trying to simply mask those symptoms. My approach is to work with you to create a customized plan, focusing on simple changes so you can feel simply well!
